We provide on-site Ecological Clerk of Works services to ensure compliance with planning conditions, EPS licences and ecological method statements throughout the construction phase.
This includes:
By identifying risks early and providing clear, practical guidance, we help prevent costly stoppages, enforcement action or licence breaches.

We undertake field-based protected species surveys and monitoring in support of development projects, including:
Our surveys are focused on supporting mitigation, licensing and construction-phase decisions, ensuring that ecological constraints are clearly understood and properly managed on site.
We regularly work as part of wider consultant-led project teams, providing reliable field data and professional judgement that can be used to inform licensing and compliance.

We provide Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, UKHab surveys and Biodiversity Net Gain baseline support for planning, development and land management projects.
Preliminary Ecological Appraisals are often the first stage in understanding the ecological constraints and opportunities associated with a site. They include a desk study, habitat survey and mapping, and an assessment of the potential for protected or notable species to be present. The purpose is to identify ecological risks early, highlight the need for any further surveys, and provide clear recommendations for avoidance, mitigation, compensation and enhancement.
We aim to give clients a clear understanding of what matters, what does not, and what needs to happen next. Where further surveys are required, we set out the likely scope and timing so that ecological constraints can be built into the project programme from the outset.
We can also support with UKHab mapping and Biodiversity Net Gain baseline assessments, helping to inform site design, habitat retention, enhancement opportunities and longer-term ecological delivery.

We deliver and support the implementation of protected species mitigation required under European Protected Species licences and planning conditions.
This includes:
We act as the link between the licensed ecologist, the contractor and the site — ensuring that mitigation is delivered correctly and that legal obligations are met.

We provide practical delivery of habitat creation and enhancement works required as part of development and mitigation schemes, including:
These works are often required to discharge planning conditions or satisfy protected species licences, and we ensure they are implemented to an appropriate ecological standard and in the correct sequence.
