Southwest Ecologists Ltd is a specialist ecological consultancy focused on field delivery, site-based compliance and mitigation for development and infrastructure projects across the South West and beyond.

The company was founded to address a growing gap in the ecological sector: while ecological reporting and assessment have become increasingly complex, many projects struggle to secure experienced, reliable ecologists on site to actually deliver what those reports require.

We exist to fill that gap.

Experience and Leadership

Southwest Ecologists is led by a Principal Ecologist with professional experience dating back to 2012, including work across residential, commercial, infrastructure and utility projects.

This experience includes:

Ecological Clerk of Works roles on complex construction sites
Protected species surveys and mitigation
European Protected Species licence delivery
Habitat creation and receptor site development

Every project is overseen by the Principal Ecologist, ensuring consistent standards, professional accountability and clear communication with clients and project teams.
